(PART II OF A FOUR-PART SERIES) Cutting directly to the freight chase: How many languages does your broker understand, and why might this be important to you? Let us explain. 💪 We were transporting high value adhesives for 3M from Tokyo, Japan into Mexico via the Ports of New York and Laredo, Texas. Similar to an Olympic gymnastics competition, imagine the degree of difficulty navigating \*\* four \*\* different languages necessary to “stick the landing.” Japanese. English. Spanish. Spanglish! Our corporate obsession of providing elite customer communication allowed us to effectively manage this important shipment across all involved parties (and countries). Think about that for a moment. What COULD have gone wrong? What were the potential opportunities for breakdowns; failure? How much waste, rework, and LOST DOLLARS could have occurred for our shipper-partners? And what about customer happiness? The next time you have critical transportation needs, consider an important word: CERTAINTY “Beyond the Quote” means exactly that. The base price you’re quoted is one thing.
