MyFreightWorld Carrier Management – Staff Accountant II Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for a talented, driven staff accountant to learn about the transportation industry and play a key role in several of our key Finance processes. This individual needs to be detail oriented, hardworking, reliable, and able to think outside the box and strive to help the Company improve the efficiency of the Finance Department.

Company Info: Our expertise in the transportation industry dates back more than 20 years in Less than Truckload and all modes of Truckload services. We provide logistics solutions for various customers, ranging from large national companies to smaller independent businesses.

Duties

• Financial Analysis of weekly and monthly results, reviewing Key Performance Indicators
• Accounts Payable management – Including audit of freight bills
• Accounts Receivable management – requiring effective communication with customers
• Daily Cash Application
• Carrier Onboarding Compliance Management
• Manage Billing Process
• Assist with Month End Close

Projects – Assist with:

• Automation of A/P process
• Automation of Invoicing process
• Automation of Carrier Invoice/Document Retrieval
• Automation of Carrier Onboard Process

Desired Range of Experience: 0 – 4 years of experience

• Degree in Accounting/Finance desired
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to learn/navigate Company Accounting Software (Quickbooks)
